Central Baptist Church is an independent, pre-millennial, sovereign grace, and missions-minded Baptist church, standing firmly upon the inspired Word of God. An abbreviated statement of our doctrine is as follows:
God – We believe that there is one living and true God, the infinite, eternal, and intelligent Spirit, the Maker, Preserver, and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth; inexpressibly holy, and worthy of all possible honor, confidence, praise, and love. We further believe that in the unity of the Godhead there are three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost; equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct yet harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.
Exodus 20:2-3, I Corinthians 8:6, Revelation 4:11, I John 5:7, John 10:30, II Corinthians 13:14
We believe that the Holy Bible, as originally written, is God breathed and that holy men, and prophets spoke as the Holy Spirit lead them — therefore His word is inerrant. All scripture was given by God for His children for every aspect of their lives including morality, character, and ultimately to be approved as a child of God. During the ministry of Jesus, God spoke directly to us through His son.
Hebrews 1:1-21, John 1:1-4, II Peter 1:2
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was, and ever is, the only begotten Son of God, supernaturally conceived by the Holy Ghost in the womb of the virgin Mary; that His birth was miraculous and without equal, there never having been, nor ever shall be, another like unto it. We further believe that He is the only begotten Son of God; that in His person are united true and proper deity with true and sinless humanity, being very God and very man, yet without sin, neither was guile found in His mouth, nor was there in Him any capacity for sin.
Genesis 3:15, Isaiah 7:14 14, Matthew 1:18–25, Luke 1:35, John 1:14,
We believe that salvation is in the person and finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ alone; that He is the only way of salvation, and that there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved; and that the same is wholly of grace, and not of works, lest any man should boast.
John 10:9, John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Ephesians 2:8, Titus 3:5
We believe that repentance and faith are the gracious gifts of God, wrought in the heart by the operation of the Holy Spirit, and bestowed according to His sovereign grace; and that these are the fruits and evidences of the new birth, being the effects of and not the cause of regeneration.
